Hello Darling!
How are you ?!
I truly appreciate you taking the time to visit my website
I’m Sonjia Smith Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I spent years supporting couples—helping them communicate better, rebuild trust, and find their way back to each other. And while I loved that work, I started to notice something I couldn’t ignore:
So many women—especially the high-achievers—were showing up emotionally drained, carrying pain that went way deeper than the relationship in front of them.
These were the women who held everything together. Who were successful, capable, and always “on”—but underneath it all, they were tired. Tired of performing, people-pleasing, and feeling like they had to earn love.
That’s when my work shifted.
Now, I work with women who are ready to stop living for everyone else and start healing for themselves. Women who want to break cycles, reclaim their voice, and build lives that feel good—not just look good.
If that’s you, here’s what I want you to know:
You’re not too much. You’re not broken. You’re just carrying things you were never meant to carry alone.
You don’t have to keep proving your worth. You’re already enough.
I’m here to walk with you as you untangle the old stories and reconnect with who you really are.
My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Together, we’ll create a space where you can lay down what’s heavy, unpack what’s hidden, and begin to build a life that feels safe, grounded, and fully your own.

How I Help
With compassion and expertise, I guide my clients in understanding how past relationship wounds shape their present experiences. Trauma bonds and codependency can create patterns of emotional highs and lows that keep us stuck in cycles of distress. The emotional flooding and dysregulation that come with these patterns aren’t just mental—they’re chemical, reinforcing behaviors that feel impossible to break.
My goal is to help you break free from toxic bonds, heal emotional triggers, and regain control over your reactions. Through a trauma-informed and solution-focused approach, I work collaboratively with my clients (ages 18+) to create a safe, supportive space for growth, self-awareness, and transformation.
